• Timing in sentence / language comprehension (M/EEG + behavior)
• Temporal patterns in large-scale linguistic corpora (computational linguistics + frequency analyses)

Available PhD projects

We can host projects at the interface of computational linguistics and the cognitive neuroscience of language. In particular, students should be interested in the neural processing of time scales that enable and constrain language comprehension. Students should formulate projects that ideally also answer whether and how such time scales are reflected in language behavior and language as a cultural system.
